What this policy covers

This policy covers how Pocket Story treats personal information that we collect and receive. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name or email address and that is not otherwise publicly available.

This Privacy Policy applies to all of the products, software, services and websites offered by Pocket Story .

In this Privacy Policy, references to “we”, “our” and “us” refer to Pocket Story while “you” and “your” refer to Pocket Story customer or user. In this Privacy Policy, “application”, refers to software developed by Pocket Story for iOS, Android, PC and other platforms and “device” refers to your smartphone or tablet.

Pocket Story is not responsible for the actions of third party people or companies, the content of their sites, the use of information you provide to them, or any products or services they may offer.

What do we collect

We automatically collect general information such as your in-game activity, your device ID, MAC address, advertising identifier, OpenUDID, Facebook ID, IMEI number, hardware type, the version of your operating system (“OS”), and your location (based on your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address). This information helps us define trends toward the use of our service. It can be also used to contact you for customer service purposes and to troubleshoot issues.

The data we collect does not include personal or any other information kept on your device or computer that is not related to our services.

How we use the information we collect

Pocket Story uses the information for the following purpose: improving the quality of our services, customer service, marketing, and research. We do not use your data for any other purpose than helping us build better applications, websites and customer services.

The data we process using third party tool is anonymized under the form of aggregated information. It does not allow us to track or identify you personally.

How do we collect information

To improve our service within our application, we use different third-party tools that collect data. Those third-party are used for the following reasons: collect analytical information about user experience, send notifications, send custom advertisement and manage payment transactions.

Those third-party include Google Play Services, App Store Services, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Storage, OneSignal, Facebook Connect, Admob, Unity Ads, Facebook Audience Network.

The third parties may have access to your personal information in connection with our service. These third-party tools are sharing some data with us. In most cases, it is under the form of aggregated information that does not allow us to identify you personally.

We may also acquire other information from you through email exchange for customer service purposes or through our Social network page.

Facebook Connect

If you sign into the Service with Facebook Connect into some of our services, we will only collect a Facebook ID. This allows us to help you with the support if you have an issue and contact us. Facebook Connect will also give us under an aggregate form personal information from our users. Those information does not allow us to identify you. They help up collect analytical data about our users.

We will never collect information about what you like, share and post on Facebook. We will only have access to information in an anonymized form.

We use Admob, Unity ads and Facebook ads for advertisement. They might target their advertisement according to data they previously collected from you. It may also collect and use information about you, including platform, application and OS version, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, etc. They are also likely to collect information related to the performance of their service: how many times an advertisement is shown, how many advertisements have been seen etc.

Note that we will erase emails we received to our contact@pocketstory.life every two years.

We are working with tools offering standard data protection and encryption. We are committed to never store unnecessary information about you on our server and on the tool we use. As we store very little personal information about our users, the risk of personal information leak on our side is highly narrowed.

However, we cannot guarantee you we will never face an unauthorized entry into our database, software or hardware that may compromise your data.
